-EgalitatE-

Te admir,
te ador-
totul de la distanta, desigur.
Nu te pot avea,
nu iti pot starni interesul.
Nu voi fi niciodata importanta in ochii tai.
Tu-idolul meu.
Eu-nimeniul tau.
Idolul tau-mai presus
decat orice este bun sau rau.
Tu-zeitate.
Eu-banalitate.
Geniul tau ma atrage,
ma fascineaza.
Nivelul meu te lasa indiferent,
te indeparteaza.
Totusi, exista banalitate mai banala
decat banalitatea mea,
si geniu mai genial
decat genialitatea ta.
Astfel, avem ceva in comun:
Eu-geniala prin banalitatea mea.
Tu-banal prin genialitatea ta.
-ambii mintiti de catre mentalitate.

-Saturday Night Fry.-

Today's topic:Stephen Fry.

'Who on earth is this Stephen Fry figure?'-You might ask(especially if you live in Romania, as I do). Here are the first things one should know about him:

'Stephen John Fry (born 24 August 1957) is an English humorist, writer, wit, actor, novelist, filmmaker and television presenter.' (Wikipedia)

...but he also happens to be one of the people I admire, one of the people I would just looove to meet(although I know that will never happen, for who would ever come to Romania?! And if so, who am I to even get the pleasure of HIM talking to me?!).

Why I admire him? Many reasons, I guess. I find him brilliant! I could listen to him talk for hours-not only because of the things he says, but also because of the way he says them!-AND he also writes the most genious essays(I might be wrong on this one, but I know I love them!). Actually, there is nothing he doesn't do.

So, if any of you would like to find out more about him, you could just Google him up...or try YouTube.

P.S.:The picture you see on your right is one of my drawings(if you find it grotesque, I apologise, for I'm not the best portrayer I've ever met!) of Stephen Fry.

Oldies but Goldies.

One of my addictions(alongside eating, sleeping, smoking and reading Stephen Fry's blessays):painting.

Here's one of my older paintings, but one of my personal favourites.

Cherries!

'All Art is quite useless'(Oscar Wilde). Now,isn't that just sooo true?!! But still, I can't help wondering what the world would be without it; Art stimulates our senses, does it not? And what wonderful a thing it is to feel!: happiness, sadness, fear, pleasure, disappiontment, excitement-all these and many more, sometimes even 'mixtures' of the ones mentioned above.

So, here I am thinking about all this when...what do you know?! I get the inexplicable urge to find a brush and some water-colours...and paint! PAINT! But no! Paper just isn't good enough for me anymore! What to do,what to do...?! After half an hour of continuous search for the 'perfect canvas', I find a piece of wood(probably the bottom of an 'x-drawer', belonging to one of our 'x-wardrobes'). 'This is so crazy' I think to myself, 'it just might work!'.

Two hours, one exhausted brush, three colour-tubes and a satisfied artist later: VOILA!-cherries!
